Designed for wooden posts with a nominal size of 3.5x3.5 inches and inner cavity of 3.6x3.6 inches. The base will fit tightly with dry wood posts up to 3.58 inches in diameter. Do not use on posts that have swollen after rain or in high humidity, as the post may be too large to fit. Minor dimensional variations may require grinding or dressing. Always measure your post before purchase to ensure a snug fit.
