Where to use and what to expect

Apply on ceilings and walls above and below grade that are free of active leaks. Do not apply to floors or to walls with ongoing water intrusion. Before painting, prime all uncoated, patched, chalky, and adjacent wood or metal surfaces with KILZ Premium Primer. For below grade applications, fill holes and cracks with hydraulic cement prior to painting. A minimum of two coats yields the best balance of protection and appearance.

This approach helps you achieve an even, uniform finish across textured masonry surfaces.

For below grade areas, do not skip the preparation steps. Properly repair and seal before painting, and ensure surfaces are cured. This can help enhance both the visual appeal and protection of basement walls, retaining walls, and other masonry features.
